Cash for Clunkers Is a Government Scam to Access Your Computer

THIS explains why Congress and Obugger are so bent on continuing the Cash for Clunkers program, after the House passed a bill Friday to add $2 billion more to the original $1 billion program.

Signing onto the website and submitting an application essentially gives the federal government access to your computer, according to this language from the site's privacy statement:
This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged onto the CARS system, your computer is considered a federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government. Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both foreign and domestic.
Maybe now is the time to call your Senator, because the Senate will be voting next week to continue this program (which was shut down last week for having a crappy computer system, running out of money, and continuously changing criteria over what new vehicles were eligible vs. the clunkers people were trading in).

And they want to run your health care?

That'll be $595,000 a Pound, Mr. Obama

Here's economic stimulus for you, and yet another sign of President Barack Obama's brilliance.

Over at the Obama web site set up to show us just where the funny money is going, and what it's stimulating, we find out key economic details of this country's recovery, such as ham that costs $595,000 a pound.

You know this link will disappear once Obugger finds out the blogosphere is all over this little tidbit of government ham and cheese, so I'm pasting the information over here, a bit awkward to read but still clear as a bell.

Just one question, Mr. President? How much did the mustard cost?

UPDATE: Well, then...someone must have received a lot of calls this a.m. in D.C. because they're out defending ham. It was the packaging size: States bought 760,000 pounds, at $1.50 a pound, to feed the hungry.

Now...if only they'd react this quickly when we try to shut down their circuit boards with outraged calls over Porkulus and Omnibus and Cap-and-Slave and Obuggercare.

Not likely. They only like to point out when others are wrong...never when they're wrong.

The Death of Notre Dame...and Catholic America

President b. Hussein's speech yesterday at Notre Dame quite simply boils down to this:
b. Hussein: It is beyond your capacity as human beings to know with certainty what God has planned for us or what He asks of us because...well...none of you are me.

Notre Dame: Hussah! Hussah! Viva la aborto! Viva la aborto!
I was astounded when more than 50 percent of my fellow Catholic voters cast their ballots for b. Hussein in November, astounded because the central issue of Catholic faith is the sanctity of life. You do NOT vote for a politician who favors abortion. It is considered a sin.

But then yesterday the president actually brought up the issue of abortion...during his commencement speech at Notre Dame...because...well...ya know, abortion is the most important thing on the minds of everyone graduating from college...so much more so than "Where am I going to live?" and "I hope I get that job" and "I can't wait for graduate school" and "I hope this guy stops talking soon 'cause I don't think I packed enough ice around the keg at the frat house" ....imploring his captive audience to consider an "open-minded" debate on the issue, as if to say: "Life is debatable; consider whether we all need to be given the chance to live or not."

Naturally, the crowd went nuts for b. Hussein, the Deity himself striking his best Hitleresque pose to date. The response pretty much mimics what goes on in the minds of people who leave Catholicism: They no longer believe that life is so important.

Have I mentioned before that we are all screwed?
