GAWD, I miss the '80s.

But ... geez ... that's one long sports report. I don't think America's attention span can handle such long shots if Sarah Palin's proposed "reality show" goes rogue. Don't get me wrong. I love the gal, for her courage and her mouthiness. She's a bright light in dark times ... but I'm glad she's apparently not running for president.

It´s not hard to see how she pulled it off when you actually read some of the thousand odd pages.

"SEC. 1233. ADVANCE CARE PLANNING CONSULTATION. (a) Medicare. — (1) IN GENERAL. — Section 1861 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x) is amended — (A) in subsection (s)(2) — (i) by striking 'die, grandma, die!' at the end of subparagraph (DD); (ii) by adding 'just trust me' at the end of subparagraph (EE); and (iii) adding at the end the following new subparagraph: '(FF) advance care planning consultation death panels (as defined in subsection (blah, blah, blah) … "

In other words (the people seem to be saying), Mr. Obama, "keep your laws off my grandma!"

Palin Talks Turkey

I swear Sarah Palin gets more face time with the media these days than does King-elect Showbama.

Call it her post-election tour to keep herself in the minds of would-be 2012 voters.

My only suggestion to Palin is that she pick more voter friendly settings for her chats. While being interviewed in your home state in a rural setting is classic Americana, it's a pretty queer thing to watch a former candidate for vice president talk turkey while someone cuts the heads off turkeys behind her.

She was there to pardon a turkey for Thanksgiving, but still...what the hell?
